Adaptive Brightness is a feature that automatically adjusts your device display according to ambient lighting conditions, using on-device machine learning. Sometimes though, it no longer performs ideally.
To correct this, we can reset the settings:
-
On Settings > Apps > Device Health Services
-
Select ‘Storage & Cache’, then tap ‘Manage Space’ button
-
Tap ‘Reset Adaptive Brightness’ button
NOTE: If you don’t see a ‘Reset Adaptive Brightness’ button, find the ‘Clear All Data’ button
