\Zelensky: Russia continues to have access to missile, drone components. Military aid for Ukraine is limited, while Russia continues to have access to “critical components needed to produce missiles and drones,” President Volodymyr Zelensky said in his evening address on April 14.

Syrskyi: Russia set a goal to capture Chasiv Yar till ‘Victory Day’ on May 9. Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi’s statement comes after his warning that the situation on Ukraine’s eastern front “significantly deteriorated in recent days” as Russia has intensified its offensives in the east since last month’s presidential election.

Ukraine condemns Iranian attack on Israel. The ministry said the attack was “unacceptable and irresponsible“ and called for efforts to prevent a “larger regional conflict.”

Israel’s UN Envoy: Listen to President Zelensky and wake up. Permanent Representative of Israel to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan, called on the international community to condemn the Iranian attack on Israel using the words of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the April 14 emergency U.N. Security Council meeting.

‘We in Ukraine know very well the horror’: Zelensky condemns Iranian missile and drone attack on Israel. “It is critical that the United States Congress makes the necessary decisions to strengthen America’s allies at this critical time,” President Volodymyr Zelensky said on April 14. The House of Representatives continues to block the passing of the much-delayed $95 billion foreign aid package, which includes $60 billion for Ukraine and $14 billion for Israel.

Russia claims 10 Ukrainian drones downed in Krasnodar Krai. The drones were recorded at 7 a.m. local time in the region, according to the Defense Ministry.

The Russian military leadership set a goal to capture the town of Chasiv Yar, just west of the Russian-occupied Bakhmut, by May 9, Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi said on April 14. Russia celebrates Victory Day on May 9, a heavily militarized holiday marking the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany in World War II.

Russia attacks 7 communities in Sumy Oblast, killing 1. Russian forces attacked seven communities in Ukraine’s northeastern Sumy Oblast, killing one person, the regional administration reported on April 14. At least 76 explosions were recorded.

Russian drone attack injures 2 in Kherson Oblast. Russian troops hit the village of Odradokamyanka in Kherson Oblast with an FPV drone on April 14, local authorities reported.

Russian missile attack on Dnipro injures 12, including 15-year-old boy. Russian troops hit the city of Dnipro with a cruise missile on the evening of April 14, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Governor Serhii Lysak reported.

Governor: Russian aerial bomb attack kills 1, wounds 2 in Donetsk Oblast. The attack hit a five-story building in the village of Ocheretyne, located a half-and-an-hour drive northwest of Russian-occupied Avdiivka.

Russian attacks on Kherson Oblast injure 5 people. The attacks targeted 17 settlements and the city of Kherson, injuring five people. A multi-story building and 17 private houses were damaged.

Russian attack on Kharkiv Oblast kills two. The strike destroyed a house in the village of Vesele, killing a man and a woman. Their bodies were pulled out from the rubble.

International response

Lithuania to allocate 400,000 euros to provide metal detectors in Ukrainian schools. The Lithuanian government will allocate 400,000 euros ($425,900) for the provision of metal detectors in Ukrainian schools and the rehabilitation of Ukrainian soldiers, Ukraine’s Interior Ministry announced on April 14.

Poll: Half of French youth willing to fight in Ukraine to defend France. The Institute for Strategic Studies of the Military School (IRSEM) and the General Directorate for International Relations and Strategy (DGRIS) surveyed 2,300 young people aged between 18 and 25 last summer.

NATO Deputy Secretary General: Ukraine joining NATO is a matter of “when” not “if”. According to NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoana, Ukraine will definitely join NATO in the future, so long as political conditions are met.
